Responding to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Fairtrade International launched a significant initiative known as the "Fairtrade Producer Resilience Fund" on World Fairtrade Day with a primary goal to mitigate the pandemic's impact on the health, well-being, and economic sustainability of Fairtrade producers worldwide. The initiative encompasses short-term prevention and relief measures, as well as support for short to mid-term economic recovery activities, including crop and income diversification. This film is co-funded by European Union.

Aligning with 10 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Fairtrade NAPP executed 49 projects across Southeast Asian countries of Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines. The initiative has directly benefited a total of 5,417 producers across 22 Small Producer Organizations (SPOs). In the Philippines, various projects have enhanced sustainable farming and boosted farmer income while addressing common issues for community development across various small producer organizations. In Thailand, four projects were implemented across various small producer organizations for long-term sustainability and community livelihood improvement. In Indonesia, four Small Producer Organizations undertook impactful projects. In Vietnam, the "Climate Change and Solar Energy" project benefitted 5 Small Producer Organizations. The Fairtrade Producer Resilience Fund stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment in the face of global challenges. From the Philippines to Thailand, Indonesia to Vietnam, these projects have demonstrated the transformative power of collaboration and sustainable practices. As we reflect on the impact of these initiatives, we are reminded of the resilience, innovation, and lasting positive change that can arise when communities unite for a common purpose.
